French Through Art: Berthe Morisot

This four-week course focuses on the development of French Impressionism through the study of Berthe Morisot, one of the movement’s most significant figures. Participants will work on improving their French by analyzing Morisot’s paintings and discussing her influence on 19th and 20th-century art history. The class provides an opportunity to practice art-related vocabulary and comprehend biographical narration while exploring the historical context of the Parisian avant-garde. (No class April 1)
